GLGA Installs New Board of Directors and Officers

The Great Lakes Graphics Association (GLGA), the organization created from the merger between the Printing Industry of Illinois/Indiana Association and the Printing Industries of Wisconsin, recently installed a new Board of Directors to equitably represent members in Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. The following individuals will serve on GLGA’s Board of Directors through the end of 2012:

Gary Kilgas – Mid-State Technical College – Wisconsin Rapids, WI
Shane Lauterbach – Lauterbach Group – Sussex, WI

Joe Novak – BFC Integrated Print Management – Batavia, IL
James Sandstrom – HM Graphics – West Allis, WI

GLGA also elected the following officers:

James Sandstrom – Treasurer

John Berthelsen, CEO of Suttle-Straus and the newly elected GLGA Board Chair, believes the organization has assembled a great group of board members with a very diverse set of experience and skills that will help the association grow. He says, “This group of dedicated volunteers has stepped forward to help lead the new organization in its efforts to set a fresh approach and tone for the Association. Working together with association staff, we will provide the direction to increase member value and visibility to the graphic arts community throughout the Midwest.”

Joseph Lyman, President of the Great Lakes Graphics Association, looks forward to working with the Board of Directors and believes their level of competence and ability will help add value to membership long-term. He says, “I have been working with many of the same individuals over the course of nearly a year to make the merger between PIW and PII a reality. I am impressed by everyone’s passion and professionalism and believe everyone will help to improve the value proposition to membership.“

The Board of Directors will meet quarterly throughout the year, and its main focus for the first several years is stabilizing and growing membership across the three state region.
