Press release from the issuing company

Kern, a world leader in high-performance inserting and mailing systems, has launched two new cutting lines to the international market, the Kern 130 rotary cutter and the MK33. The new lines were unveiled at Take Off Days in Niederhergheim, France in October.
The new Kern 130 high-performance rotary cutter offers users high levels of flexibility being built around a modular design with the benefit of a new K141 processing technology. The K141 high performance drop stacker can process standard 1-up, 2-up continuous stationery and a wide format with a maximum width of 560mm, paper weights of between 45 to 160 gsm, pinfeed and pinless. The integrated intermediate stacker module K141 ensures high performance processing 1-up, 2-up, 3-up and 4-up from 560mm wide format at speeds up to 200m/min.
Clive Martin, Kern’s UK Sales Manager, said:  “The Kern 130 rotary cutter is a great example of Kern’s commitment to offering products which combine superb design and performance at an attractive price point.  The new cutting line is perfect for those seeking to achieve high output volumes and it also offers an attractive cost-to-benefit ratio.”
The MK 33 high-performance cutter is manufactured by Kern’s partner KICM. Designed to process paper weights of 37 – 200 g/m²; the product features include a minimal space requirement, low-noise operation and processing speeds of up to 240 m/min.
Both products are now available in the UK.
