KODAK Shows Innovative Portfolio and Digital Printing Demos at PAMEX

Press release from the issuing company

At PAMEX 2011, Kodak will showcase its wide portfolio of innovative products and services for printers, publishers, and packaging professionals. Visitors to the Kodak booth, Hall 4, will learn about a variety of KODAK Products ranging from thermal CTP devices to digital printing presses, as well as workflow and packaging solutions.

"Visitors come to PAMEX looking for the latest printing technology developments to help their businesses gain a competitive edge. We will show them how KODAK Solutions can help them reach greater business success," said Bhalchandra Nikumb, Head of Sales and Channel Management, India Cluster, Graphic Communications Group, Kodak India Private Limited.

PAMEX 2011-sponsored by the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP)-will be held Nov. 1-4, in Pragti Maidan, New Delhi and is a key trade show in the Indian printing industry. Held every two years, PAMEX attracts more than 20,000 visitors in search of the latest graphic communication technologies.

PAMEX 2011 attendees will see the KODAK NEXPRESS SE3000 Digital Production Color Press at the Kodak booth. The KODAK NEXPRESS SE3000 Press provides reliable offset-class printing for a variety of applications including marketing collateral, direct mail, and books. The KODAK NEXPRESS SE3000 Press features Print Genius, a suite of quality control tools and options, which allows printers to maintain peak quality throughout production runs.

The KODAK NEXPRESS Fifth Imaging Unit Solution makes it possible for printers to achieve high-impact printing applications with Kodak's unique in-line dimensional printing, high-quality gloss and spot color, in-line watermarking, or coating in a single pass. Unique in the industry for in-line digital cut sheet presses, dimensional printing is achieved by adding KODAK NEXPRESS Dimensional Clear Dry Ink to the Fifth Imaging Unit of a KODAK NEXPRESS Press. Characteristics previously unattainable with digital printing, such as a 3D tactile photo surface, dimensional or raised print, and distinctive textures, can easily be incorporated into the design of materials.

To demonstrate the award-winning KODAK NEXPRESS Fifth Imaging Unit Solution, Kodak will team with PrintWeek India for a live, on-site printing demonstration at the booth. Visitors will see the KODAK NEXPRESS SE3000 Press in action, as PrintWeek prints the PAMEXDaily, a16-page tradeshow newsletter using dimensional printing.

The Kodak booth will also highlight the KODAK TRENDSETTER 800 Platesetter. Developed for medium- to large-volume commercial printers, the eight-page thermal CTP device provides accurate and stable imaging quality results.

Because today's printers need more than just hardware, visitors will learn about the latest workflow developments, including the KODAK PRINERGY CONNECT Workflow System with KODAK INSITE Prepress Portal integration. The KODAK PRINERGY CONNECT Workflow System delivers increased automation and outstanding job flow efficiency with both the control and flexibility that printers seek.

The KODAK MATCHPRINT Inkjet Proofing System, Kodak's powerful digital proofing solution that allows printers to generate reliable proofs, will also be on display along with the KODAK APPROVAL NX Digital Color Imaging System. The KODAK APPROVAL NX Digital Color Imaging System provides printers a complete suite of hardware, software and consumable materials to create color proofs accurately and consistently predicting process, spot and metallic colors for litho offset, flexographic or gravure printing.

Highlighting Kodak's continued commitment to improving sustainability, visitors can also come by the booth to learn about Kodak's sustainable solutions for printers with offset and hybrid environments. Kodak's solutions focus on increasing overall process and output efficiency, while reducing resource consumption required for processing digital plates. In addition, Kodak offers digital plates such as KODAK THERMAL DIRECT Non Process Plates that eliminate the need for processors and chemistry..
