Torraspapel to Present Its Metalvac Metallized Papers

Tuesday, November 01, 2011

Press release from the issuing company

Torraspapel, part of the Lecta Group, will exhibit for the first time at the most important annual event for the global beverage industry worldwide. The Brau Beviale trade show will open its doors at the exhibition center in Nuremberg, Germany, from 9 -11 November, presenting the newest developments and trends in the production and marketing of beer, water and other beverages. 32,000 industry professionals are expected to attend the show, where they will have the opportunity to visit 1,300 exhibitors and learn about the latest developments in beverage raw materials, machinery, technology, logistics and marketing.

Torraspapel’s presence at the show is part of an investment strategy in high added-value products that will enable the company to extend its leadership to different growing market segments, particularly in the labels and packaging sector. The installation of a new high-vacuum metallizer in its Leitza mill (Spain), scheduled to be operational at the beginning of 2012, will represent an increase in its metallized paper production capacity of nearly 70%.

The Metalvac line of high-vacuum metallized papers is 100% recyclable and is especially designed for labeling premium beer and beverages. Silver or gold, gloss or matt, Metalvac papers are available with a variety of embossed finishes (linen, brushed and pinhead) and are suitable for labeling returnable bottles, performing extremely well during the washing cycle. The Metalvac product line is available with PEFC™ y FSC® forestry certifications and is manufactured at sites holding ISO 9001 quality certification, as well as ISO 14001 and EMAS environmental certifications.

Torraspapel, a manufacturer of pulp, coated paper, base paper and specialty papers, has a total production capacity of more than 1.1 million tons. The company has invested heavily in its seven Spanish manufacturing sites, all of which have been equipped to specialize in specific product lines, with a high level of integration and technological know-how, resulting in better product knowledge, higher quality and excellent environmental positioning.

Discover an endless world of labels at Torrapapel’s stand at Brau Beviale 2011, Pavilion 4, Stand 438, from 9 -11 November in Nuremberg.
