KBA at Polygraphinter in Moscow

Press release from the issuing company

At Polygraphinter in Moscow from 4 to 8 October KBA sold a half-format Rapida 75E five-colour coater press straight from the stand to local printer Nemetskaya Fabrika Pechati (NFP).

The company’s name, which means German printing plant, reflects the fact that its deploys nothing but German press technology. NFP is part of the EXMO group along with Tverksoy Poligrafikombinat in Tver, which operates large-format KBA presses. NFP purchased its first KBA Rapida 105 universal, a five-colour version with a coater and extended delivery, in 2006. Just twelve months later the Moscow-based commercial printed added an identical Rapida. The new Rapida 75E, which replaces a press from another German manufacturer, reflects NFP’s satisfaction with Rapidas.

Launched at Ipex 2010, the Rapida 75E is already strutting its stuff at a number of other Russian printers and is attracting a lot of interest in the national market. In addition to the half-format press for NFP KBA sold several secondhand Rapidas at Polygraphinter. As well as Russian print pros the fair drew visitors from former Soviet republics such Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Belarus. KBA anticipates a number of further orders prior to next year’s Drupa.
