“Our speakers did an excellent job of identifying applications for secure printing and discussing the infrastructure requirements for entering this profitable segment of the printing market,” said Sherburne. “During this session, our attendees learned about many unique applications that have helped them our panelists revenue positive in difficult economic times. Secure printing technologies offer extreme value to brand owners wishing to ensure protection of goods and information from counterfeiting, illegal copying or other fraudulent activity,”

Not only is its facility ID access-controlled, but using its AuthentiGuard suite of technologies, the company is expert at adding brand protection security features to printed items such as coupons, labels, packaging, government vital records and plastic ID cards.
  • Doug Yeager, Assistant Chairman & COO, Alcom, has been with Alcom since graduating from RIT with a Bachelor’s degree in Printing Management. Clondalkin Pharma & Healthcare is focused on developing new applications for cartons, labels and package inserts.

“Secure printing is an interesting value-added offering that we hope some of our attendees will explore, either by adding services or finding a partner who can get them started,” said Randy Davidson, President, WhatTheyThink. “We are pleased that Kodak sponsored this event, allowing us to offer this important educational session to attendees at no cost.”

This was a great discussion on the fast growing global market of security printing. Thanks to Kodak we had an opportunity to hear of traditional printers diversifying into a new industry segment. I work with companies in this arena and it is encouraging to see that those organizations who participate quickly appreciate this rapidly evolving segment.
Great job to What They Think in managing this session and delivering a very insightful discussion.
