October 17th, 2003 – Norwegian media group A-Pressen has taken delivery of a new shaftless Goss Community press at OGF Novosibirsk in the capital of Siberia. The newly expanded press is installed in a brand new facility and will print the local daily newspaper as well as weekly and monthly newspapers. This will be the second major press expansion that Goss has undertaken for the group in Russia to invest in the region, and further enhances its reach into Eastern and Central Europe. The earlier recent A-Pressen Goss project in Russia was in Nizhniy Novgorod, south-east of Moscow, involving a Goss four-high Community tower extension. This press installation is now in full production printing around 50-60 titles per week with a combined total of 2.8 million copies. Providing the flexibility and reliability that we require for printing a wide range of newspaper and commercial products, the Goss Community press is the perfect choice for this location.” Lying on the trans-Siberian railway and with 1.4 million inhabitants, the new 14-unit Goss Community press at OGF Novosibirsk will be configured as three four-high towers and one two-high tower, plus two folders and six reelstands. The order is set to be complete by winter 2003.
