Fujifilm Posts Excellent Results From Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division announced today a strong showing at GRAPH EXPO 2011, with outstanding sales orders, and higher sales leads and booth visitors than the previous year, plus three Executive Outlook “Must See ‘em” awards.

Fujifilm was awarded “Must See ‘em” status for the newly introduced Acuity LED 1600 wide format UV LED inkjet printer, which was unveiled for the first time worldwide at Graph Expo 2011, and two “Worth-a-Look” awards – one for its ColorPath Sync G7® alignment software, and one for the newly launched Inca Onset S40 wide format UV flatbed inkjet printer, shown for the first time in the United States at Graph Expo. The Acuity LED 1600 was one of only two products selected in the “Wide Format Printers” category.

“Fujifilm was the only vendor at the show to present a full line of products and solutions for the graphic arts industry, including offset, digital, wide format inkjet and professional services,” said Todd Zimmerman, vice president of sales and marketing, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division. “As a leader in inkjet technology, one of our goals was to showcase our latest inkjet innovations during Graph Expo. The Onset S40 live presentation, the worldwide introduction of the Acuity LED 1600 and the featured J Press 720 all drew record attendee traffic into the booth.”

Sales highlights from the show include the Inca Onset S40, sold to Brown Industries of Dalton, GA, and shipped directly from the show for immediate installation, and a Xerox® Color 800/1000 Press sold off the floor to Yorke Printe Shoppe of Lombard, IL.

“CTP orders were up over last year, and we had significant interest in the J Press 720,” Zimmerman said. While in Chicago, many commercial print shop owners took the opportunity to visit Fujifilm’s nearby Hanover Park office, for personal, in-depth demonstrations of the J Press 720 in action, according to Zimmerman.

Next up for Fujifilm will be the annual expo of the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) in New Orleans, LA, October 19 – 21, 2011 in booth # 425. Fujifilm is a “Platinum” Sponsor of this event, which draws thousands of printing professionals from across the globe.

“If Graph Expo was any indication, we expect a strong showing at SGIA,” Zimmerman said. “In addition to the products shown in Chicago, we’ll also be showing the new Uvistar2 super wide format UV roll inkjet printer for the first time in the United States.”
