Mailmen Inc. Acquires Madcar Company

Wednesday, October 05, 2011

Press release from the issuing company

Mailmen Inc. is proud to announce the completion of its acquisition of Madcar Company. The acquisition allows Mailmen, Inc. to add specialty packaging, kit assembly and fulfillment services to their already extensive direct mail marketing capabilities. "This combination will provide our clients with a broader range of direct marketing options. Whether it is a personalized direct mailer or an individual package or product sample, we'll do it all with the same efficiency and high quality service you've come to expect from Mailmen," said Michael Vignola, Vice President.

Mailmen Inc. is a 50-year leader in the direct mail industry, with a capacity to mail over 2,000,000 pieces per day. Madcar Company was established as a hand assembly operation, and has expanded into a full service specialty packaging, assembly, cartoning and fulfillment company. By combining the capabilities of the two organizations, customers will have a single source for direct mail or promotional projects which could include personalized letter mail, multi-dimensional mail, product samples or premiums. Vignola explains: "Many times, while we're handling a portion of our client's marketing needs, such as direct mail, they will be working with an organization like Madcar for other services like multi-dimensional mail or fulfillment of promotional items. When we combine our rich database and personalization capabilities with Madcar's specialty packaging and hand assembly, the robust marketing options we can now offer to our customers is truly astounding."

Both companies have been family owned and operated, and have many similarities. Mailmen and Madcar are adept at handling complex projects and are solutions-driven. "When confronted with a project that no other company could handle, our clients could always count on us to find a way to run their job efficiently and capably," notes Vignola. "Madcar takes a similar approach. They're a well-established customer centric organization, with dedicated staff in customer service, production, and warehousing. Between the 2 divisions, we have the capability to handle an endless array of projects, using our experience to guide customers through the process, with a quality piece at the end.

Madcar Company will maintain its brand and its name, and will operate as a division of Mailmen Inc.
