OutputLinks Communications Announces Women of Distinction Award Recipients

Honorees Represent Australia, Canada, France and the United States

HOUSTON, Texas, U.S.A. - OutputLinks Communications Group announced its newest class of Women of Distinction Award recipients on Sept. 13 at a special ceremony at GRAPH EXPO in Chicago, Ill. The annual Women of Distinction Awards celebrate the numerous achievements of exceptional women---from around the globe---in the document communications, graphic arts and high volume transaction output industries. OutputLinks Communications Group is a growing set of global business divisions in the corporate communication ecosphere, including: American Printer, GCWorldBiz, GreensheetBIZ, MPSConnect, CMOConnects, OutputLinks, OutputLinks France, OutputLinks Italy and OutputLinks Latin America.

The newest Women of Distinction Award recipients include: Jackie Connor, Digitalpress, Australia; Elvire Del Fondo, Audigny, France; Mary Garnett, Printing Industries of America, United States; Marianne Gaige, Cathedral Corporation, United States; Meegan Hinds, Symcor Inc., Canada; Chantal Juvet, Docapost DPS, France; Cheryl Kahanec, EARTHCOLOR, United States; Kathleen McHugh, Presstek, Inc., United States.

"It's hard to believe that the Women of Distinction Awards program is in its tenth year of honoring top leaders in the industry," said Andy Plata, co-CEO of OutputLinks Communications Group. "We're so proud of the 72 professionals who have been recognized during that time, and we're just as pleased to present this new class of Women of Distinction."

Julie Plata, co-CEO of OutputLinks Communications Group, added, "Over the past 10 years, we've recognized presidents and CEOs, senior managers, educators, technical consultants and other illustrious women who make an impact in the industry, and this year's class is just as stellar. Congratulations to all of the recipients."

The eight honorees---distinguished and well-known industry achievers---were selected by OutputLinks Communications Group for their experience, leadership and contributions to the output industry. Nominations were submitted throughout the year by technology vendors and document and print professionals, and each of the award recipients exemplify a wide range of professional, technical, entrepreneurial, management and marketing and skills.

The Women of Distinction are commemorated annually with a $5,000 university scholarship, funded by OutputLinks and administered by EDSF, the international non-profit organization dedicated to the document management and communications industries.

Jackie Connor - Australia
General Manager
Digitalpress

Jackie Connor has extensive knowledge in the print industry, having been a co-owner of an innovative printing company for 17 years. She also has extensive web, sheet-fed, digital and paper knowledge. She is currently the general manager of Digitalpress, Australia's most awarded and innovative digital printer.

Elvire Del Fondo - France
Chairman
Audigny

Elvire Del Fondo creates training programs for reintegrating job seekers into the industry. Del Fondo graduated from business school with an emphasis in human resources, and later worked at Kodak and manpower France. In 2001, she created her own recruiting company, audigny consulting, as well as audigy formation.

Mary Garnett - USA
Vice President
Printing Industries of America (PIA)

At PIA, Mary Garnett's focuses on education/training and special interest groups. She oversees PIA conferences, including Color Management, Continuous Improvement, Offset and Beyond and Integrated Print Forum. She is coauthor of Social Media Field Guide: A Resource for Graphic Communicators, and publisher of PIA's magazine.

Marianne Gaige - USA
President & CEO
Cathedral Corporation

Marianne Gaige leads Cathedral Corporation, which offers printed and electronic communication programs for a broad range of industries. She holds a bachelor's degree from Alfred University and an MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business, and she serves on the Board of Trustees for the Imaging Network Group.

Meegan Hinds - Canada
Senior Vice President, General Manager
Symcor Inc.

Meegan Hinds works in the division of Symcor that's responsible for transactional printing, document archiving and electronic presentment. Symcor is the largest transaction printer in Canada. Since joining in 2008, she has introduced new technology to streamline operations and establish Symcor as a leader in electronic presentment.

Chantal Juvet - France

Chantal Juvet has more than 30 years of experience, from blank page to "intelligent" document management. She started her career with an accounting firm. After 10 years, she decided, along with a friend, to create a technology company that would print information, sheet by sheet, rather than use the Matrix Printing method. "This was a revolution," said Juvet. She also created Xplor France, a chapter of Xplor International. She joined Docapost in 2006.

Cheryl Kahanec - USA
Executive Vice President, Earth Digital
EARTHCOLOR

Cheryl Kahanec, who began her career as a typesetter, is one of the digital printing industry's leading authorities today, in variable data and 1:1 marketing applications. At EARTHCOLOR, Kahanec works hand-in-hand with customers to create innovative, high-impact cross media marketing programs that utilize digital printing technologies.

Kathleen McHugh - USA
VP and Chief Marketing Officer
Presstek, Inc.

Kathleen McHugh joined Presstek in May 2008. With more than 20 years of industry experience, she is focused on expanding Presstek's global presence in the growing digital color printing market. Previously, she was a VP at Eastman Kodak. She holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of California, Irvine.
