Brussels, Belgium, –  International Paper today announced that PRO-DESIGN paper is now officially qualified for the Kodak NexPress Digital Production Platform.

As a result of the Kodak NexPress qualification process, PRO-DESIGN will now have its custom ICC color management profiles for each substrate script, as well as integration into the official Kodak NexPress qualified substrate catalogue. This catalog is distributed worldwide to Kodak NexPress press customers.

All eight grammages available in the PRO-DESIGN range were tested at the Rochester Institute of Technology, the only body authorized to conduct the Kodak NexPress digital production platform Substrate Qualification Program. As part of the assessment, International Paper received a detailed qualification report which confirmed PRO-DESIGN superior quality in all areas tested.

The qualification focuses on four key areas: determination of fuser set points, ICC profile generation and assignment, color verification and script file creation. As a result all Kodak users now have a quick and easy access to substrate scripts through Kodak NexPress Qualified Media Scripts database and enjoy a worry free printing with superb results on PRO-DESIGN paper.
