C.P. Bourg Introduces BDFNx Finisher for Predictable Workflows

Press release from the issuing company

McCormick Place, Chicago; – Aiming to address price-conscious users at print shops with routine production needs, C.P. Bourg has announced the Bourg BDFNx, a new purpose-built version of its proven Bourg BDF document finisher designed to accept sheets printed in standard sizes by Xerox Nuvera Production Systems.

Designed to operate in-line with the Xerox Nuvera 100 and 120 EA Production Systems, the new BDFNx Document Finisher applies the legendary reliability and durability of the proven Bourg BDF platform to finishing printed output in three standard sheet sizes -- 8.5 x 11 inches, 8.5 x 14 inches and 11 x 17 inches.

The new BDFNx combines all three finishing functions -- stitch, fold and trim -- in a single compact and self-contained unit able to top- or corner-stitch from 2 sheets to 55 sheets of 80 gsm, or to produce booklets of up to 88 pages.

It features many Bourg-developed innovations, including paper transport with a unique lugged belt that gently pushes each set to the finishing functions without scuffing or marking; rollers that make sharp, square folds; automatic document size changeovers; and precision face trims to within 1/250th of an inch.

"As a purpose-built system specifically suited for finishing standard-size sheets, the Bourg BDFNx makes it possible for price-conscious print shops and those with routine production needs to take advantage of C.P. Bourg engineering quality, innovation and efficiency in our best-selling product at a substantially reduced price," said Richard Trapilo, Executive Vice President and General Manager of CP Bourg Inc.

The BDFNx will debut at this year's Graph Expo show in Chicago, September 11-14, 2011 in the C.P. Bourg Booth #2027.

It will be available in the fourth quarter of 2011 through C.P. Bourg or directly from Xerox Corporation.
