LPIA Announces 2011 LPIA Innovation Conference

Label Printing Industries of America (LPIA), a special interest group of Printing Industries of America, is proud to present the LPIA Innovation Conference, November 9–11, 2011, at the Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans, Louisiana. This conference will equip the label converting, top-sheet, and the package product decoration industry with creative and innovative tactics and techniques. Sessions focus on result-driven information, as well as best practices, insightful tips, and forward-thinking approaches.
The LPIA Innovation Conference will feature a panel of leaders within the industry to discuss their business models, their solutions, and how they address challenges in today's economy. Visionaries such as Mike Anderson, CEO and president, Fort Dearborn Company; Lee Timmerman, president, Precision Press; and Andy Thomas, editor, Labels & Labeling Magazine will be on hand to discuss innovative ways to compete against foreign competition, how to advance your business through engineering, and global trends and tactics.
Jonathan Asher, senior vice president, Perception Research Services (PRS), will delve deep into consumer purchasing behavior and explain how neuroscience is being used to develop innovative packaging that achieves top-shelf performance. When it comes to packaging Asher will address how brand owners are using neuroscience to determine what works, what doesn't, and why.
Author David Kord Murray will expound upon the contexts of his new book The Six Steps to Business Innovation by Building on the Ideas of Others. It's a Wall Street Journal best seller and named by Inc. Magazine as one of the best business books.
Bodine Balasco, renowned business speaker and workshop trainer, will talk about the Generative Creative Process--how the perceived scarcity of resources can automatically drive innovative thinking. By using this technique, people and teams get new ideas, they become inventive, and they begin using available resources more effectively as well as discovering and developing new resources to use in creating desired results.
