Konica Minolta Partners with Standard Finishing Systems

Monday, September 12, 2011

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago - GRAPH EXPO 2011 – Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), who recently signed a marketing agreement with Screen USA to sell all versions of the Screen Truepress Jet520 production inkjet system, has selected Standard Hunkeler unwinding, rewinding, cutting and stacking solutions as their lead offering for high-volume continuous-feed print customers.

"We surveyed the feeding and finishing landscape and concluded that Standard offers best-of-breed hardware, technical expertise and applications knowledge" said Kevin Kern, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Production Print Solutions, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc.  "The broad Standard Hunkeler portfolio fits perfectly with our exciting new inkjet offerings.  Add-in the equally strong Standard Horizon finishing line-up and you've got a powerful package end-to-end."

"This move makes sense for both companies" said David Reny, Executive Vice President, Standard Finishing Systems (Standard). "Konica Minolta is an established player in cut-sheet production digital print, and is now aiming at an even higher volume band. Our product mix, sales ability and technical support are a very good match, and we look forward to helping them expand their market."

Konica Minolta will showcase a complete inkjet production line at Graph Expo in Chicago, September 11-14, with the Screen Truepress Jet520 paired with Standard Hunkeler unwinder, cutter and Standard Horizon in-line saddle-stitching system, producing full-color, ready-to-ship personalized booklets from a white roll of paper in Booth #2227.
