Record Vistor Participation & Sales at PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL

The 3rd staging of PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL, International Packaging and Printing Exhibition for Asia, recently closed in Bangkok as the most successful regional exhibition for the packaging and printing sectors. Some 200 exhibitors from 20 countries presented their latest technologies and equipment and praised the quality of the attendees, the number of new local visitors and their high purchase making authority. According to initial statistics, some 17,000 visitor from more than 50 nations took part in the event - a 40% increase compared to the show's last staging in 2009. In addition, a fourfold increase in international visitor participation compared to 2009 was recorded. This includes visitor delegations from India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Northern Thailand and Vietnam. Many exhibitors expect busy post-show business and continue to use the online business matching service.

The joint organizers of PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL 2011 - Messe Düsseldorf Asia, The Thai Packaging Association and The Thai Printing Association - are extremely pleased with the trade fair's results.  "PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL 2011 achieved record sales and international visitor participation that exceeded expectations. There was a real buzz on the show floor throughout the four days with trade visitors actively seeking new products and services and business opportunities.    Exhibitors were surprised by the volume of actual sales contracted onsite from both local and international visitors," commented Gernot Ringling, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia. "Overall, the exhibition was a tremendous success and Messe Dusseldorf Asia thanks the exhibitors, visitors, joint organizers, seminar speakers, sponsors and other participants who contributed to the success of PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL 2011 and we look forward to building on the momentum and quality of this year."

Kashem Yaemvathithong, President of The Thai Packaging Association, noted that there was continuous activity on the show floor and a steady stream of quality visitors throughout the exhibition. Pornchai Rattanachaikanont, President of The Thai Printing Association, added: "This trade show continues to be very attractive and relevant for the industry and judging by the number of machinery sold on the show floor, it is a key indicator of the value derived by both exhibitors and visitors."

Exhibitors were very pleased with their participation in PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL 2011 and plan to return to the 2013 staging. "We exceeded our sales targets at PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL and based on this year's show, we are very confident we will be back in 2013," said Keith Patten, General Manager of Heidelberg Graphics (Thailand). Qi Xian Yun, Managing Director of Sanxin Printing Machine Material, agreed: "PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL is an ideal platform for brand building, to increase awareness and gain market presence in Thailand. It is a growing market with much potential and Sanxin is planning to come back in 2013 with a much bigger booth."

According to Naruj Rattanaurachai, Sales Manager of Bobst Group (Thailand), the company exceeded their sales targets and had numerous new customers at their booth: "We are extremely happy with the number and quality of the PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL visitors and we have never had so many people visit our booth at a trade exhibition in Southeast Asia before."

The next staging of PACK PRINT INTERNATIONAL will take place from August 28 - 31, 2013 in Bangkok.
