Banta Enhances Interactive Marketing Suite With New List Purchasing Functionality

Press release from the issuing company

MENASHA, WI, October 13, 2003 - Banta Corporation, a technology and market leader in printing and supply-chain management, today announced that Sync Interactive Marketing Suite, Banta's robust collection of sales and marketing tools, now allows users to seamlessly connect to third party list providers through an easy-to-use interface.  After a document or email has been created and personalized using Sync, users are given the opportunity to attach a list that will be used to personalize and distribute marketing materials. In addition to the traditional list processing capabilities available through Sync, namely, uploading an existing list from a user's desktop, pulling a list from an organization's current CRM or customer database and creating a list using Sync's list builder feature, users are now able to purchase a list from a third party list provider with the click of button.  When users choose to purchase a list, they are automatically connected to the desired third-party list provider through the Sync interface, providing a consistent user experience.  Once connected to the list provider, users are able to segment their list by selecting specific criteria, set quantity limitations and instantly purchase the desired list. Users then continue through the ordering process to a check out area where a shopping cart will automatically include the price of the list purchased along with the individual email or document costs.  This simplifies the ordering process and helps to manage costs by eliminating the need for separate billing sources or procedures. "Targeting the right audience with the right message in an efficient manner is critical to organizations today.  Our goal in combining the development of  marketing and sales materials with the ability to purchase lists from  third-party providers was to streamline the process for users and allow them to have a turnkey solution in which to create their programs," said John Sisson, vice president and general manager of Banta Integrated Media.  "Sync easily integrates with any list provider and allows marketers to quickly segment and purchase highly targeted lists for both print and email campaigns on-the-fly.  The result is highly personalized print or electronic programs delivered to the right audience, giving organizations a competitive advantage while improving time-to-market, reducing production times and increasing growth opportunities."
