Great Lakes Integrated Adds to EFI Monarch System

Press release from the issuing company

Foster City, Calif. - EFI, a world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, today announced that Great Lakes Integrated (GLI) has chosen to upgrade its EFI Monarch MIS with the implementation of key new modules - Monarch Planner, EFI PrintFlow, EFI Auto-Count and Prinergy integration.

In business for 80 years, GLI has helped some of the best-known companies in the world produce highly successful and award-winning print collateral, multi-channel marketing campaigns and e-commerce solutions. The company employs 155 staff members at its headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio and its distribution facilities in Avon Lake, Ohio.

A long-time EFI Hagen and then EFI Monarch foundation user, GLI spent time over the past two years evaluating all of their business processes, looking for ways to improve operational knowledge and increase productivity. As a result, they will soon be installing Monarch Planner, PrintFlow dynamic scheduling, Auto-Count direct machine interface, and the Pre-Press Module which provides integration with Kodak Prinergy.

"In today's environment, it's all about streamlining, and Great Lakes is adding smart processes instead of additional people," said Jim Schultz, chairman, president and CEO. "With the addition of Monarch Planner, we'll be able to get jobs into the plant faster, and expect to save three to four hours per job. That's huge! Together with the time savings expected with the other new modules, we'll have open capacity we can use to generate new business and more profits."

"Great Lakes has long understood the benefits a world-class print management system can bring to their operation, and is now taking the next step to ensure their processes can support continued growth," said Jeff White, general manager of EFI Monarch.
