Bringing the quality and speed of thermal imaging to newspaper printing, the Trendsetter NEWS device can now image plates from five different manufacturers. Creo is dedicated to qualifying digital media for use on all its CTP imaging devices. The Creo stand at IfraExpo features the ThermalNews plate from Kodak Polychrome Graphics. Also at the show, Fujifilm is announcing the LH-NN photopolymer no-pre-heat plate for thermal newspaper printing. Creo Quote... The Trendsetter NEWS also images waterless CTP plates from Toray for use on the KBA Cortina newspaper press. Two Trendsetter NEWS platesetters have been installed at reiff zeitungsdruck in Offenburg, Germany, for use with their waterless Cortina and satellite-type KBA Commander press.
