Arandell Corporation to Add New Heidelberg 32-Page Web Press

Press release from the issuing company

Menomonee Falls, Wis. - (Oct. 9, 2003) - Arandell Corporation has purchased a new Heidelberg Sunday 3000/32 web press to strengthen its capability to produce top-quality direct-mail catalogs and marketing materials. The new press, unveiled at last week's Graph Expo trade show, will be installed in a five-unit configuration at Arandell's megaplant in Menomonee Falls, Wis. The machine is the first single-circumference web press with an eight-pages-across cylinder configuration. The new installation, planned for 2004, will also include a fully automated Heidelberg-Contiweb splicer, an Ecocool dryer with integrated chill rolls and a PFF-3 pinless folder. "We are very excited to make this advancement in web press technology available to our customers," said F.E. Treis, chairman of Arandell. "We are confident that the gapless print quality, high-speed and wider, 32-page format will provide greater efficiencies while allowing us to offer color quality that is second-to-none." Arandell was involved when this first revolutionary new press concept was brought to life in a partnership with Heidelberg using Sunday technology for nearly a decade. The company was also closely involved in the development and creation of the new 32-page format Sunday press. Arandell was the first printer in the world to install a gapless press in 1994, and currently operates four Sunday 3000 presses and three additional M1000's. Arandell Corporation is known internationally as the expert in the art and science of catalogs. The privately-held printer produces and distributes high-quality direct-mail catalogs and materials for the worldís leading retail marketers from state-of-the-art facilities in Menomonee Falls, Wis.
