Xplor Provides Security Printing Expertise and Best Practices at the Xplor 2003

Press release from the issuing company

Xplor 2003 TORRANCE, Calif.--Oct. 9, 2003-- Xplor International is proud to announce the first-ever Security Printing Forum during the 24th Annual Xplor Global Conference and Exhibit. Scheduled for Tuesday, October 28th from 1:30 - 5:00 PM, the forum is dedicated to the promotion and protection of the interests of organizations with security printing applications, as well as the individuals that are part of this market. With special keynote George Phillips, President/CEO of Verify First Technologies, the forum will tackle the diverse and rapidly growing number of industries and print applications affected by security printing. For example government agencies printing car titles; marketing agencies printing high-value customized vouchers; and financial institutions and insurance firms seeking to limit fraud all have elements of security that can't be ignored. This forum aims to educate organizations on how security should be accounted for across a wide breadth of print-related issues, including document design, the printing and personalization process, paper quality requirements, practices for consistent quality control, print verification systems, techniques for combating fraud, and the tightening of international standards for business checks. The forum will also include interactive user and vendor panels to deliver real-world business insight and best-practice scenarios that attendees can leverage in their organization's security printing practices. Xplor's Global Conference and Exhibit runs from October 26-29, 2003 in Atlanta, Georgia. Full Conference and Exhibit attendees and one-day (Tuesday) Conference and Exhibit attendees are welcome to attend the Security Printing Forum. More information on the Conference & Exhibit can be found at www.xplor.org/xplor2003. "This forum offers the exact type of knowledge sharing that Xplor emphasizes among members and attendees," said William "Bill" McCalpin, General Manager, Xplor International. "The Security Printing session will highlight the complex issues associated with this vertical market and help tackle those problems with high-level strategy and implementable tactics."
