Xanté Celebrates 10+ Years in Flexo at Lablexpo

Press release from the issuing company

Mobile, AL – September  2, 2008 -- For over a decade, Xanté (and the former RIPit) has been a mainstay among flexo and converting printers.  The company's longtime commitment to this segment of the print industry will be evident at this year's Labelexpo Americas event.

Xanté is featuring its latest innovations in automated prepress workflow and digital imaging solutions designed specifically for the professional flexo label market at Labelexpo Americas, the largest event for the label, product decoration, web printing and converting industry in the Americas, taking place from September 9-11 in Rosemont, IL.

Major New Features in Symphony Flexo Workflow, Powerful All-In-One PDF Workflow
Attendees at the Xanté booth #3007 will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations of Xanté Symphony Flexo Workflow, the all-in-one Adobe PDF workflow with powerful, competitive new features including end-to-end color management, built-in PANTONE Color Libraries, Freeform Ganging, new Markup / Bearer Bar functionality, DotSweep halftone (dirty-dots) clean up, enhanced Linearization and Dot Gain Curve Editing and much more.

Xanté Symphony Flexo Workflow is a comprehensive, turnkey PDF workflow featuring support for the Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE) (including Adobe PostScript 3). Symphony Flexo Workflow drives a wide variety of output devices including platesetters, imagesetters, laser printers, digital color presses, copiers, inkjet printers and plotters, all from a single, state-of-the-art RIP. This centralized control maintains file consistency from preview, to proof, to plate.

Symphony Flexo Workflow improves productivity and reduces human error by automating tedious and error-prone prepress tasks. It offers advanced color management and automates complex prepress tasks such as file setup, trapping, screening, imposition and application of linearization and dot gain compensation; giving a print shop everything required for prepress operation in one, complete, software package.  The modular design of Symphony Flexo Workflow allows users to easily add options to meet growing production needs.

New ILUMINA 502 Digital Color Press
Labelexpo visitors can also see the ILUMINA 502 digital color press featuring a new 500 ft roll feeder. Handling a variety of media including ultra heavy card stock (to 502 gsm) and new Magnetic Media, ILUMINA 502 prints full color on 12.9" wide x 47.24" long maximum sheet size. It's the ideal solution for short-run, full color, on demand applications; from printing on label stock to producing specialty packaging, product tags, CD sleeves and more.

Long Record of Success in Flexo
Xanté RIPit was one of the first to offer third-party RIP solutions to the printing industry.  In 1992, RIPit developed the "AlanRIP" for Alan Graphics, a full function die database, with full distortion in a flexographic software Raster Image Processor.  Several hundred of these RIPit-based Flexo solutions were installed over the years.  In 2001 RIPit integrated it into its portfolio, adding many new features requested by Flexo customers.  The result is today's powerful Symphony Flexo Workflow solution.  This superior workflow solution is now the choice of many flexographic printers and trade shops around the world.
