Muller Martini shifts Mailroom Systems support to its New York headquarters

Press release from the issuing company

(September 02, 2008) Muller Martini has announced that sales and marketing functions for Muller Martini Mailroom Systems, Inc., previously handled in Allentown, Pennsylvania, are now being handled at Muller's U.S. headquarters in Hauppauge, New York.  Muller Martini Mailroom Systems provides equipment and services to customers throughout the newspaper marketplace.  As part of its shift of Mailroom Systems sales and marketing, Muller Martini has put together a new management team, including a new Vice President of Sales. Mr. Gary Owen formerly with KBA joined Muller Martini in September and will be responsible to direct all sales activities to the newspaper industry.

With the newspaper business undergoing a period of change, particularly in terms of decreased circulations, increased emphasis is being placed on reducing costs and also on generating new revenue through the production of inserts, supplements and a variety of commercial products. "The shift of sales and marketing that has taken place with Muller Martini Mailroom Systems represents a new chapter for our company and for our customers," said Werner Naegeli, President and CEO of Muller Martini Corp. "Now, calling upon our companywide strength of resources, we will be able to provide solutions to the newspaper industry from a multitude of divisions... bringing the world class reputation and expertise we share with the most successful companies on the commercial side of the Graphic Arts industry to the newspaper world."

Muller Martini manufactures, installs and services a wide array of machines for virtually every aspect of print production.  The company's technologies are recognized around the world for innovation, reliability and solid return on investment.  "Mailroom Systems customers can be assured that the same quality the commercial printing and binding industry depends on Muller Martini for will also be inherent to all the equipment and support we provide to mailroom operations," continued Mr. Naegeli.  "We have handled the most complex installations for the largest commercial printers and binderies in the United States. Going forward, under our global slogan, Grow With Us", we are eager to deliver a more well rounded scope of machine capabilities and professional expertise to newspapers, tailoring solutions specific to their businesses and complementing the needs of the mailroom with commercial products from all divisions throughout Muller Martini."
