Printcafe Announces Latest Version of PrinterSite at Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

GRAPH EXPO, Chicago, IL - Printcafe Software, Inc, the operating system for print, announced that version 2.1 of the company’s PrinterSite Internal sales force automation tool, has entered the Beta testing phase and was demonstrated at Graph Expo. In version 2.1, PrinterSite Internal supports integration with the current versions of Printcafe's Hagen, Logic SQL and PSI print management systems. PrinterSite Internal is a unique integrated job specification and status tool that allows a printer’s sales person to interact more efficiently with internal staff. Using PrinterSite Internal's, Internet-based connection, sales staff in the field can enter high quality specifications directly into their Printcafe PSI, Logic SQL or Hagen OA print management system. The data is entered through customizable forms that can be tailored to particular products or to match existing paper forms. "Printcafe has clearly put a great deal of thought in developing this product," said Richard Theoret, Finance Manager at Battlefield Graphics in Burlington, Ontario, who is beta testing PrinterSite Internal, integrated to Logic SQL. "Every tool a sales person needs is built in, including complete account history and the ability to easily reorder jobs, so they have all the information they need to be more effective out in the field. PrinterSite Internal will enable our sales people and estimators to spend less time re-keying information and will streamline the pre-production process." PrinterSite Internal enables remote viewing of requests for quotes, estimates, job history, status and invoices via a standard web browser, and enables the entire team to work with the same information, from the sales person visiting the clients’ site to the estimator, CSR and production personnel at the plant. The product has been used effectively with wireless Internet connections, both WI-FI as well as lower speed connections provided by nationwide cellular carriers. The advantages include: fewer data entry errors, quicker turnaround on estimates and quotes, and fewer phone calls and visits to the plant—boosting sales force effectiveness by letting sales people focus on relationships, instead of chasing job and quote status requests, One of the new features in PrinterSite Internal is the ability for a printer to publish a custom designed request for quote form on their existing public web site, so that current or potential customers can fill out the form and send information directly to the estimator’s inbox within the Printcafe management system at the plant. The estimate can then be created quickly and efficiently, reviewed by a sales rep and sent back to the customer via an electronic quote letter. "We have developed across the board improvements to PrinterSite Internal making it an even better tool for a printer's sales force," said Marc Olin, CEO of Printcafe. "With direct connectivity to the print management systems, PrinterSite Internal is yet another add-on module we can offer our customers to help them sell more effectively and get them on the road to computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) and increased margins." "We are very excited about the potential offered by Printcafe's PrinterSite Internal," said Sam Shaffer, Operations Manager at Marketing Services by Vectra, of Columbus, Ohio. "It is imperative that we identify and implement applications that allow us to streamline the flow of information into our PSI system, reducing; cost, time and the opportunities for mistakes. We believe that PrinterSite Internal can provide those benefits."
