InkZone for Current Offset Presses at Graph Expo 2011

Press release from the issuing company

Digital Information, an independent Swiss manufacturer of color control systems for the graphic arts, launches an extension in the range of functionality of their popular InkZone product family at Graph Expo :

Up to Date with InkZone und Preproofer
Digital Information will be in full force at Graph Expo in Chicago from September 11 to 14, 2011. At stand 439, the technology firm will be presenting newly-integrated support for the Heidelberg Prinect Press Center in the InkZone product family of ink-preset and closed-loop color control solutions. In addition, the latest version of Digital Information's Preproofer will be in action, churning out double-sided, imposed proofs using a tandem of uniquely-configured Epson, large-format, inkjet printers.

InkZone Gets an Extension
As many successful printers worldwide have already discovered, InkZone is an open platform ink preset and closed-loop color control solution which harmonizes perfectly with all offset litho presses from leading manufacturers like Komori, KBA, Heidelberg, Ryobi, Manroland, and almost all others. By integrating InkZone, printers can realize substantially shorter makeready time and a reduction in paper waste, paired with considerably-improved color quality. With InkZone, official color standards for offset printing can easily be met, and the whole range of print run processes can be kept more consistent while also being logged for certification, QA reporting or customer scoredcards.

Now, thanks to the new interface for the Prinect Press Center, practically any sheetfed offset press from Heidelberg can be connected to InkZone. This new extension to the Digital Information product line will be introduced for the first time at Graph Expo 2011 and will be available during quarter four of 2011

Preproofer Cranks Out Imposed Proofs
Since the end of 2010, Digital Information has been delivering their latest Preproofer generation to customers worldwide. The Epson-based double-sided imposition proofing system stands out against its predecessors with 40 percent faster print speed and extra precise front-to-back registration .

Unlike booklet proof solutions – which can only refer to single, isolated PDF pages and never to an imposed and RIPed print form as a whole – a Preproofer printout which has been printed on both sides in just one pass can easily be folded and checked for correct page sequence.
