Screen Truepress Jet2500UV Widens Kelmscott Communications' Marketing Reach

Press release from the issuing company

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. - Building strong and lasting relationships with clients by delivering comprehensive marketing solutions is the driving force behind Kelmscott Communications. Recent technology investments aimed at allowing customers to communicate high-quality marketing messages faster and more efficiently include a Screen Truepress Jet2500UV grand-format inkjet printer.

"The Truepress Jet2500UV is exceptional in versatility and quality," said Charles Randazzo, director of sales and marketing. "It prints on numerous types and sizes of substrates with a lot of speed. Furthermore, it produces very high quality on many different applications."

Founded as a sheetfed printer in 1936, Kelmscott Communications changed its name from Kelmscott Press, Inc. in 2008 to reflect its commitment to providing full marketing communications solutions, from the initial concept of a project all the way through distribution of the finished product. Kelmscott's one-source approach helps financial institutions, health care providers, advertising agencies and other clients get the most return from their marketing expenditures.

"We have been adding topnotch equipment to our digital and wide-format departments and enhancing our web-based solutions to support the core products we offer," Randazzo said. "That is why we stepped up to buy the Truepress Jet2500UV."

Kelmscott operates two plants in Aurora, Ill., staffed by 59 employees. The 25,000-square-foot main facility houses sheetfed and digital production presses, along with the graphic design, prepress and finishing departments. An adjacent building that spans 18,000 square feet accommodates wide-format printing, sales functions, warehousing and fulfillment.

Online print storefronts and data-driven variable direct mail represent a growing source of revenue for the $13 million firm. The spectrum of print applications has steadily broadened beyond full-color booklets, posters and traditional marketing materials.

Since its installation in December 2010, the Truepress Jet2500UV already has proven itself in the quality department, reliably printing tradeshow signage, window graphics, promotional products, banners and boards.

"The Truepress Jet2500UV gives us the ability to adjust the output resolution up to 1,500 x 1,500 dpi, and the UV finish makes the images appear more vibrant," Randazzo said. "Those two qualities together produce some very impressive results."

The Truepress Jet2500UV is expected to play an increasingly important role in addressing the needs of customers.

"Everything about the Truepress Jet2500UV really sets it apart from other printing systems we compared," Randazzo said. "This machine is creating new opportunities for us, especially within our existing client base. When you look at its capabilities - the 98.4-inch width, 1.9-inch substrate thickness, flexible and rigid media handling and 1,500 dpi resolution - there is virtually no limit to the size and scope of work we can bid on."
