To meet the increasing customer demand for quality improvements Deuschle decided to retrofit one of their Foil Commanders with the Gietz "SMART Register" system.
 
For 2 years, DDV used the "SMART Register" system from Gietz and states that more and more customers ask for the application of this technology. In the meantime, the graphic industry has realized the advantage and importance of this system in order to keep up with the increasing quality demands. Taken into consideration that DDV is a classic service company in trade foil finishing and unfortunately rarely being involved in sheet pre-planning, it is even more remarkable that they are able to cope with the most critical orders. The Gietz patented sheet registering device "SMART Register" enables the alignment of sheets to defined pre-printed register marks or to the front and side edges, in longitudinal and transverse direction.  "SMART Register" even works with contrasting printing.  This patented system is available as an option on the FSA 1060 Foil Commander thus saving money for those operators that are not interested in the system.   
Due to this device, register inaccuracy caused by badly trimmed sheets, sheet with distortion or variations caused from sheeting on a web printing press has largely been eliminated.  Production is increased and the possibility of stamping on incorrect sheets is impossible.
