Phototype Adopts KODAK MARKETMOVER Solutions for Unique System Customization

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y., - Phototype, a packaging lifecycle management company, recently worked with Kodak to address their specialized automation and integration needs.

For over 92 years, Phototype has been helping its customers with brand strategy and design, pre-media, and asset and print management. As an early adopter of online customer collaboration, Phototype had been using the KODAK INSITE Creative Workflow System for the past two years but hoped to enhance both their level of service to customers as well as efficiency through additional system customization.

KODAK MARKETMOVER Business Advantage Solutions is a full suite of consulting services and business solutions that meet the specific needs of a business, going beyond the capabilities of off-the-shelf solutions. Phototype turned to MARKETMOVER Solutions to add more unique packaging features to its existing INSITE Creative Workflow System. This would improve the system's functionality in relation to their customer needs.

"No off-the-shelf product can possibly anticipate all of the market's needs, and printers are often faced with challenges unique to their own individual businesses," says Debora Stranaghan, Director of KODAK MARKETMOVER Business Advantage Solutions. "This is where our MARKETMOVER Solutions automation and integration services come into play. We have been told by our clients that no one is offering automation, integration and optimization of their end-to-end print solutions like we are. Plus, unlike many other services, we know how to integrate in a multivendor environment."

Working hand-in-hand with Phototype, the MARKETMOVER Solutions team evaluated each company request by value versus cost. Before beginning the project, the team provided Phototype with a comprehensive plan broken down into implementation phases.

Phototype had looked at competitors and considered doing the programming in-house, but decided on Kodak because of the combination of technology, resources and expertise. Steve Carter, Vice President of Technology at Phototype, notes, "Other solutions weren't as robust; their development teams were much smaller. We have programmers, but they have other work to do. Kodak has a whole team that could deliver what we wanted in a shorter time frame, and time-to-market was a big issue for us. The ability to turn the whole project over to Kodak was a big plus."

MARKETMOVER Solutions offers full design and deployment services, including system requirements, coding, testing, installation, integration, documentation, and training.

For a business, these types of enhancements and solutions could mean the difference between being a profit challenger and a profit leader. Commercial, packaging, publishing, and data-driven printers often turn to MARKETMOVER Solutions to achieve full print system integration.

MARKETMOVER Business Advantage Solutions offer a range of services, including campaign management, creative and design services, database management, direct mailing with reporting, email blasts, fulfillment, marketing strategy, project management services, variable and on-demand printing, website development, web-to-print storefronts and much more.
