Human Resources & Leadership Guide Now Part of NAPL WorkPlan for Success

Press release from the issuing company

East Rutherford, N.J., – The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) has expanded its unique WorkPlan for Success online management program for printers with a new Human Resources & Leadership component. Available exclusively to NAPL corporate members, WorkPlan for Success is built upon the best practices identified through the Association's industry-standard Management Plus System.

The new 100+-page Human Resources & Leadership unit covers HR topics such as creating an employee policy manual, strategic hiring initiatives, new employee orientation, measuring employee performance, and terminations/layoffs. The Leadership section shows how to identify leadership development needs, put an organizational structure in place, develop leadership strengths, and structure a company Board of Advisors.

Interactive applications, checklists, and templates guide the WorkPlan for Success user in implementing today's most effective graphic communications management human resources and leadership development practices and policies. The hiring section alone, for example, includes a job description template, resume assessment grid, suggested initial interview questions, reference check table, and reference interview form, among other tools.

"Nowhere are the challenges greater, nor the impact of success or failure more evident, than in human resources and leadership development issues," says NAPL President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph P. Truncale, Ph.D. "Whether companies are concerned with hiring, measuring performance, creating a compensation plan, or identifying and developing future leaders, their ability to handle employee-related issues is critical to their growth and profitability.

"These are issues that company executives and managers face day in and day out," he continues. "That's why this latest WorkPlan for Success unit is so important, and why it will be one that they will turn to again and again," he continues. "We've put together a hands-on guide that will provide strategic and tactical guidance for a company that has a human resources manager, while offering a number of user-friendly tools for a company owner or manager who also has responsibility for human resource and employee development issues."

All units of the WorkPlan for Success are available 24/7 via the members-only section of NAPL's website (www.napl.org), and are updated with new information and worksheets on an ongoing basis. Users may download an entire section, select a pdf version of any individual chapter, or follow links to additional forms, templates, and other information. Members may use their members-only link to access the new section of WorkPlan for Success.
