Elinir Increases Productivity with HP Indigo 7500 Digital Press

Press release from the issuing company

BARCELONA, Spain, - HP today announced that Elinir, of Petah Tikva, Israel, has installed an HP Indigo 7500 Digital Press to increase production volume and enable it to meet growing demand for its digitally-printed products.

After installing an HP Indigo press 5500 in 2008, the family-owned business has grown year-on-year, providing digital printing services to the publishing and design industries, as well as to educational institutions. Elinir also recently launched an e-commerce service for photobooks and other printed products, prompting the requirement for an additional digital press to meet increased customer demand.

"We had a digital press from one of HP's competitors, but decided to replace it with a second HP Indigo press as we were so satisfied with the performance and quality of our HP 5500. The 7500 enables us to offer high-volume printing at low costs and both presses match offset print quality, which is a crucial requirement for our business," said Shahar Mizrachi, manager, Elinir.

Unveiled at Ipex 2010, the HP Indigo 7500 is ideally suited to replace small and midsize analogue offset presses and to handle high-value applications, such as variable-data-driven marketing collateral, photo books and personalised direct mail. Elinir's product offering comprises of brochures, books, business cards, notebooks and event invitations - projects which all require variable data printing capabilities.

With exclusive HP ElectroInk, all HP Indigo presses produce consistent images with a true look and feel of offset. The additional white ink option kit allows print service providers (PSP) to print on a larger variety of specialised substrates, such as transparent, metallic and coloured media, enabling PSPs to deliver a wider range of unique applications.

"We are currently experimenting with HP ElectroInk White with the view to expand our product offering and differentiate our company from our competitors' with a broader, more versatile product portfolio," said Shahar Mizrachi.

The seven-colour press prints 120 A4, four-colour pages per minute, and also offers a faster 240 two-colour or monochrome A4 images per minute.

"For us, HP is a forward-thinking company. Our clients need superior image quality and we think that the quality HP's presses deliver cannot be compared to those of other manufacturers in the market.

"In the future, we hope to attract new customers and expand into new industries with the new products our Indigo presses will enable us to offer," said Shahar Mizrachi.

Elinir was founded 30 years ago, has 16 employees and also offers its own finishing services.
