Sir Speedy, PIP, Signal Graphics Convention & Vendor Show Excites in Vegas

MISSION VIEJO, Calif., – Held at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, June 23-25, the annual Sir Speedy, PIP Printing and Marketing Services and Signal Graphics International Convention and Vendor Show stimulated and motivated more than 350 attendees. Franchise owners and salespeople from around the world were presented with sales achievement and other recognition awards during the three-day event that encompassed keynote presentations, general sessions, roundtable discussions and the largest trade show of any printing and marketing services company.

The PIP Franchisee of the Year Award was presented to Bob and Claudia Pelzek and Michael and Vicky Tarby of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. The Sir Speedy Franchisee of the Year Award was presented to Howie and Judy Budrow of Chicago Heights, Illinois. Each year the Franchisee of the Year Award is given to a franchisee who has demonstrated his or her belief in the franchising concept, who has promoted, supported and encouraged franchising, and who supports the franchise network.

Top Volume Awards went to George Coriaty of Sir Speedy, Whittier, California, The Fulner Family of PIP in Indianapolis, Indiana and Nashville, Tennessee, and Riley and Kay Gunnels of Signal Graphics in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The International Top Volume Award went to Marwan Al-Bawardi and Ganga Prasad of Sir Speedy in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In addition to Saudi Arabia, franchisees from the following countries attended the event: Brazil, Canada, England, India, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, and Taiwan.

Awards were also given to franchisees and salespeople in the following categories: Top 10, Top 25, Volume Increase Percentage, Century Club, Million Dollar Club, Sales Achievement Awards and Application Innovation Awards. Four Sir Speedy locations and four PIP locations also received Quick Printing magazine's Top 100 Awards.

"All of our award recipients represent leaders in our franchise network, the printing and marketing services industry and in their communities where they continue to help their business customers grow," said Richard Lowe, COO of Franchise Services. "Their sales achievements are extraordinary accomplishments and I am proud of the efforts they have set forth to achieve both professional and personal success."

Other highlights of the Convention included keynote presentations by Regina R. Testa, Vice President, Global Business & Strategic Marketing Group, Xerox Corporation, and Steve Gilliland, inspirational speaker, comedian and author of Enjoy the Ride and Making a Difference-Purpose, Passion and Pride.

At the International Vendor Show leading companies in the printing, graphics arts and marketing services industries exhibited in more than 125 booths at the Mirage Events Center including: Xerox, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Advertising Specialties Institute, Acxiom and more.
