Press release from the issuing company

Director of WhatTheyThink's Economics & Research Center Dr. Joe Webb: Best Source for Industry Trends/Forecasts

Lexington, Kentucky USA – WhatTheyThink, the printing industry's number one overall web site, reports that for the past eight years, Dr. Joe Webb, Director of its Economics & Research Center, has been bringing WhatTheyThink readers up-to-the-minute economic information, trending data and on-the-mark forecasts that help business leaders better plan for the future. The Economics and Research Center is by far the most active of all sources for trends and timely analysis.

"Dr. Webb is one of the most prolific figures in our industry," said Cory Smith, WhatTheyThink's COO. "Not only does he publish a weekly Economics & Research Center Newsletter and conduct regular economic outlook webinars, but he is a well-known author and speaker in great demand to speak at industry events, conferences and other meetings. Dr. Webb has followed more than 700 economic indicators over more than two decades to keep a finger on the pulse of the industry and to develop a base of data and research that is unmatched in the industry.  In addition, his forecasting expertise has predicted many of the changes we see taking place today. Owners and managers of printing businesses are well advised to consider his current projections, both for the macro-economic sphere as well as the printing and publishing industries."

Dr. Webb's current book, written with WhatTheyThink contributor Richard Romano, Disrupting the Future, has been hailed as a must-read book for anyone working in or serving the dynamically changing printing and publishing industries. His often contrarian opinions and forecasts are independent of vendor or other influence; and while no forecasting system is perfect, Dr. Webb's projections more often than not are borne out as the future unfolds. The latest Economic Outlook Webinar can be accessed here and is well worth reviewing for those who were unable to attend it live. "While Dr. Webb has deep industry and economic knowledge and expertise," added Smith, "he does an exceptional job of distilling this information so it can be easily digested and understood."

In addition to speaking engagements, Dr. Webb is available for consulting projects and development of customized economic data, analyses and forecasts for corporations. To engage Dr. Webb's services, or those of any other WhatTheyThink speakers or consultants, contact [email protected].
