Second Annual 'Avery Give Back to Schools' Promotion Expands

Press release from the issuing company

PASADENA, Calif., – The 'Avery Give Back to Schools(TM)' promotion launched today, marking the second year the global office supply company has implemented the initiative. The biggest difference this year--Avery is expanding the promotion to award 30 schools with much-needed educational resources and offering cash benefits through Avery's partnership in Box Tops for Education(R). Avery manufactures a large selection of school supplies such as binders, dividers, Sticky Notes, NoteTabs(TM), highlighters and glue sticks that will prove to be extremely valuable for schools across the country.

Last year, votes poured in from across the country and resulted in 15 schools being awarded with much-needed Avery school supplies. This year, Avery will award the top 30 schools with the most online votes in a tier-based structure.

The top five schools with the most online public votes will each receive $10,000 worth of new Avery school supplies, 10,000 Bonus Box Tops coupons (redeemable for cash by schools) and ten $100 gift cards to be split among the teachers for purchase of additional classroom supplies. The next 25 schools with the most votes will each receive 5,000 Bonus Box Tops coupons (redeemable for cash by schools).

Communities, students, families and school supporters (ages 18 and older) can vote for their local K-8 school beginning today at avery.com/giveback.

"Avery is thrilled to be able to expand our program to give back to more of the communities that have continually supported us, especially during a time when school budgets are constrained and so many schools are in greater need," said Tim Bond, Group Vice President of Avery Office and Consumer Products.

The Avery Give Back to Schools(TM) program is one of the ways the company supports its belief that a solid education is the cornerstone of a strong community. To enable children to receive the education that they need and deserve, Avery provides financial and in-kind support to children, teachers and schools through programs such as Box Tops for Education(R). In less than two years, schools have earned more than $1,000,000 through Box Tops coupons found on Avery products. Consumers can earn cash for their schools everyday by shopping at Staples or Staples.com, where they can find a broad selection of Avery products with Box Tops coupons.
