New Features Enhance Aetek UVXL Universal UV Curing System

Press release from the issuing company

January 23, 2004 -- Romeoville, IL,— Aetek UV Systems has added features to their proven UVXL Universal UV Curing System, making the popular product even more useful in a wide variety of drying and curing applications. Among the features added are: - New modular compact power supply—An improved power supply design takes the already reliable Aetek UVXL system to a new level. - Dedicated microprocessor control—Makes setup simpler and more operator friendly. - Upgraded shutter design—Liners are easier to change and heat rejection is improved. - Dichroic liners available—Special curing applications can be accommodated. In discussing the product improvements available on the Aetek UVXL system, Frank Simonetti, Aetek UV sales manager, commented: “The Aetek UVXL curing system is widely regarded as the workhorse of the printing and industrial curing industries. These new features, coupled with competitive pricing and Aetek UV application engineering experience, make the UVXL the curing system of choice in many applications.” The Aetek UVXL system uses medium-pressure mercury arc lamps. The outer housing, reflector support, and shutters are precisely designed aluminum extrusions providing exceptional optics and cooling efficiency, yet they are strong and easy to maintain. The reflector inner liner is easily replaced, to maintain peak curing efficiency. The Aetek UVXL curing system is available through OEMs on new mid- to wide-web presses and coaters, and directly from Aetek UV Systems for retrofitting existing machines. The Aetek UVXL is especially compact, and well-suited for applications with limited available space. Aetek UV Systems is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Ultraviolet Company, a leader in ultraviolet curing technologies since 1960. For more than 35 years, Aetek UV Systems has provided ultraviolet curing systems for narrow- through wide-web printing, as well as industrial applications. Aetek UV Systems products find broad application in label, folding carton, flexible packaging, and metal decorating applications involving flexography, offset, rotogravure, digital inkjet printing and coating. Industrial applications include flooring, pipe and wood coating.
