Leading B2B Publisher Switches to QuarkXPress 9 for All Publications

Press release from the issuing company

LONDON - Quark today announced that business-to-business publisher Link Publishing has switched its production suite to QuarkXPress 9 for all its publications.

Link Publishing is a leading publisher of trade titles for the printing and signage industries, and provides up-to-the-minute news, in-depth features, and commentary from industry experts through its two flagship titles: Print Monthly and SignLink. The company produces the annual Print Directory and Sign Directory, providing comprehensive listings from over 10,000 companies for every conceivable service required. Link Publishing also offers integrated and effective online marketing campaigns for customers within the industries.

Stewart Genovese, senior designer at Link Publishing, said, "We initially upgraded to QuarkXPress for one of our publications and benchmarked it against other desktop publishing programs we were using for the rest of our weekly and monthly magazine production. We found QuarkXPress so much easier, more intuitive, and sleeker in a lot of the most common page-layout operations. Having the whole team on one publishing platform has also helped us make significant gains in terms of time-saving.

"We are thrilled to now have QuarkXPress 9, which is packed with new print design features that will speed up our production even further. Not to mention the exciting new perspectives that App Studio and publishing to the iPad open up for publishers and designers who want to go digital without breaking the bank."

Gavin Drake, vice president of marketing at Quark, said, "We are delighted that Link Publishing has selected QuarkXPress as their design and publishing tool of choice for print and digital media. This is yet another validation that QuarkXPress really is the most efficient professional design tool for organizations that need to publish to multiple media without having to purchase, learn, and be locked into a raft of different software tools and without the need to hire programmers. With the release of QuarkXPress 9 designers can rely on a single design environment to publish to print, Web, interactive, and digital media including the growing number of tablet and mobile devices."

Quark has made a fully-functional, 30-Day Test Drive version of QuarkXPress 9 available on its Web site. To download QuarkXPress 9 today and use it unrestricted for 30-days, visit http://www.quark.com/testdrive.
