KBA Partners With Graphic Art System to Add Cold Foil Machines on Press

Press release from the issuing company

KBA North America, a global press manufacturer based in Dallas, Texas, has forged a partnership with Graphic Art System, the leader in the design and manufacture of foil stamping and print enhancement equipment with its Eagle System brand. KBA presses will now be able to be retrofit on existing presses or equipped on new press installations with cold foil machines from Graphic Art System.

"I am delighted that KBA has chosen Graphic Art System, the leader in foil enhancement equipment, to provide our Eco-Eagle cold foil machine as a package with their printing presses to those clients seeking a cold foil solution," says Michael King, president of Graphic Art System.

After two years of research and development, King created the Eco-Eagle Systems, the most advanced cold foil and film casting modules in the industry. "With my 30 years of machine development experience," says King, "my engineers and I took a totally different approach. We have developed the most successful cold foil machine available today on the market. Our system is extremely high tech and has a very smooth start and stop. It does not create any dust."

The environmentally-friendly Eco-Eagle cold foil machine is the most economical machine in the marketplace today drawing power less than a hairdryer to operate.  It has the ability to run unlimited multiple narrow webs of the same size or different sizes, or one large web depending on the job. The Eco-Eagle is operator-friendly and requires no mechanical, electrical or computer adjustments.

Recently, KBA installed an Eco-Eagle cold fold module on a new KBA Rapida 106 41-inch sheetfed press at Unigraf, a commercial printer located in Warsaw, Poland. "The on-site KBA technical team was astonished to see how quickly the Eco-Eagle was completely installed and the press was in production," says King. "The results of the installation have been highly satisfactory for all concerned."

Graphic Arts System is the leader in the design and manufacture of foil stamping and print enhancement equipment with its Eagle System brand.
