GOEBEL Schneid- und Wickelsysteme GmbH appointed Harald Knechtel as its new Sales Director on March 3, 2011.

Mr. Knechtel has worked for GOEBEL since 2009 when he joined the company as Area Sales Manager for the Asian market. Mr Knechtel worked for an international mechanical engineering company for many years before moving to GOEBEL and was also responsible for the Asian sales region there.

The global sales activities of GOEBEL will be further strengthened with the appointment of Mr Knechtel. "We want to continue to expand the existing market shares within the film and paper processing sector and open up new markets with a motivated sales team throughout the world," states Harald Knechtel.

Harald Knechtel took over as Sales Director from Dr. Bernhard Müller who left GOEBEL at the end of last year. He will still have responsibility for the Asian sales region as part of his role.
