Standard Printing Company to install EFI Monarch

Press release from the issuing company

Foster City, Calif. – EFI, a world leader in customer-focused digital printing innovation, today announced that Standard Printing Company, a full-service sheet-fed printer, has selected the full EFI Monarch suite to automate its state-of-the art facility in Canton, Ohio.

In business since 1923, Standard Printing specializes in educational books and packaging, and has 95 employees. As a result of continued growth, Standard Printing decided to upgrade their current MIS systems in order to consolidate multiple systems and eliminate redundancies. After a thorough evaluation of options, the company selected EFI Monarch – a flexible, intelligent and automated solution – as its print management system.

"The powerful features of Monarch combined with the expertise and knowledge of EFI made Monarch the right choice for us," said Bill Nolan, vice president at Standard Printing. "We're excited to get all of our systems talking together and to realize greater operational efficiencies. More than just selecting a product, we're now on the right track to build a true foundation for future growth."

An important factor in their decision was the Monarch integration with KODAK's PRINERGY Software, which will enable Standard Printing to gain automation in their pre-press workflow.

Adds Nolan, "EFI's leadership position and dedication to R & D will ensure we stay at the forefront of technology developments and continue to deliver superior results for our customers."

"Standard Printing joins a growing list of companies who are upgrading their operations to EFI Monarch," said Jeff White, general manager of EFI Monarch. "We look forward to working with them to successfully implement the system and take their business to the next level."
