Boston, Massachusetts and Appenzell, Switzerland – GMC Software Technology, the standard in personalized communication, today announced that the U.S. agency of World Vision, the international Christian humanitarian organization, has selected GMC Software Technology to help power its fundraising, communication and educational efforts. World Vision has more than one million American donors and several million donors and volunteers throughout the world.  This constituency demonstrates a broad base of support for its work serving the poor and victims of injustice.

Prior to engaging with GMC, the fundraising efforts and donor communications of World Vision's U.S. agency involved significant staff resources, language translations and other administrative demands from many of the nearly 100 countries in which the organization works.  The organization was seeking a solution to help provide their donors with information more quickly, especially in response to natural disasters, while contributing to its culture of financial stewardship.

"GMC is helping us replace an antiquated system, and allowing World Vision to do a better job of delivering the right message, to the right people, at the right time via multiple channels," says Linda Forsythe, Vice President for Donor Engagement Operations for World Vision U.S. "Moreover, our new system will reduce our costs and increase our flexibility and response time for donors, as well as prospective donors.  This is a really critical part of the integrated communication strategy with World Vision supporters."

Using GMC, World Vision U.S. will be able to produce highly personalized, graphically intensive campaigns with the ability to drive its in-plant digital printers at maximum speeds. In addition, the organization will enhance its child sponsorship program, enabling donors to engage with children they sponsor and better understand how their donations are used. GMC also gives World Vision the ability to communicate using personal preferences of every donor.

"We're not only excited that World Vision has selected GMC for their fund raising and donor campaigns but eager to help them become successful in the worldwide humanitarian mission as well," said Michael Watts, President of North America at GMC Software Technology. "We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship."
