Press release from the issuing company

Ann Arbor, Michigan – Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, RIP management and prepress workflow software announced the official discontinuation of one of the former HighWater products known as the Torrent RIP. Xitron further announced that the HighWater Torrent RIP has been replaced by the Navigator RIP, Navigator GPS workflow and Navigator Elite workflow solutions all based on the Harlequin RIP core technology. Users of the Torrent RIP are eligible for upgrades through Xitron and Xitron's dealers to the latest Navigator RIP or workflow at a substantial discount.

The Navigator Harlequin RIP with Navigator Workflow Server extends the capabilities of the prepress department with the:

- Latest Harlequin RIP technology
- Client access from Windows and Macintosh
- Integrated soft proofing
- Job management with virtually unlimited workflow steps
- PDF Raster for soft proofing RIPped files
- Integrated imposition with Dynagram inpO2 Basic

"Xitron is offering an outstanding value to the Torrent Harlequin RIP users through Xitron's network of dealers and distributors," stated Mark Eisenschenk, Xitron's President and Chief Executive Officer. "The additional capabilities offered by the Navigator workflow allow prepress departments to be more productive and reduce errors through automation."

Xitron's Navigator Workflow Server helps prepress operators increase productivity, manage workflow, and reduce costs. An intuitive interface allows multiple operators to manage their work from a Windows or Macintosh workstation, while directing output production through one or more Harlequin RIPs.

Optional workflow modules allow the Navigator Workflow Server to create and preflight PDFs; perform ink remapping; and support ROOM proofing to any Xitron and most third-party proofing solution. The Navigator Workflow Server also offers ink key presetting capabilities with KeySetter, a series of pressroom workflow solutions to connect the prepress department and pressroom together.

Users wishing to take advantage of these special programs should contact their local Xitron dealer or Xitron directly at www.xitron.com/torrentupgrade. Xitron will assist users who are not already working with a dealer to find the best sales channel for their region. The special programs vary based on the version of the existing Torrent RIP and the specific production requirements of the user.

Xitron and its dealers are the only authorized source for Harlequin RIP upgrades for the former HighWater products including HighWater Torrent Harlequin RIP, Torrent RIP DI Edition, Torrent RIP Micro Edition, Torrent RIP Standard and Signatured Editions and Torrent RIP Quickflow Workflow Edition; Graphics Integration Technology GIT RIP and GIL RIP known as Graphic Pro; Xitron's complete line of Harlequin RIPs and Harlequin RIP workflow solutions including, Xitron Navigator Harlequin RIP, Xitron Navigator GPS Harlequin RIP Workflow and Navigator Elite Harlequin RIP Workflow.
