MEI adds dates for Pro Pub Series Tablet-Publishing Showcase

Press release from the issuing company

Jenkintown, PA - Managing Editor Inc. (MEI), an Adobe premier development partner and a leading provider of software solutions for the publishing industry, today announced it has added six dates to its Pro Pub Series of tablet-publishing seminars. The company has been on the road since February hosting informative sessions designed to help publishers and their teams learn first-hand how to get content onto the iPad and other tablets.

Following well-received events in Philadelphia, New York and Washington, D.C., MEI is excited to bring its industry-leading software and services to a broader audience across the country.

The Pro Pub Series showcases MEI's specialized tablet services and Adobe's groundbreaking Digital Publishing Suite, the emerging standard for tablet publishing using Adobe InDesign. The Series also gives publishers and corporate communications teams a chance to hear from and interact with software specialists and experts from Adobe, MEI and its partners.

MEI's upcoming Pro Pub Series stops include:

Los Angeles - Wednesday, April 20
Chicago - Thursday, May 5
Seattle - Tuesday, May 10
San Francisco - Thursday, May 12
Orlando - Tuesday, May 17
New York - Wednesday, May 25

MEI has been offering expert tablet-publishing services since Adobe first released the Digital Publishing Suite and has already helped customers such as Reader's Digest create interactive, attention-grabbing iPad editions. Additionally, MEI's authorized distribution partners are working at sites such as National Geographic, where integrator Technology for Publishing recently implemented a tablet workflow. Pro Pub Series attendees can expect to learn more about these publications and what goes into getting them to various app marketplaces.

"There are already more than 200 apps live in the iTunes store that were created with Adobe's Digital Publishing Suite," said Dennis McGuire, CEO and President of MEI. "The response we've seen in each city so far tells us that more and more creative teams are ready to embrace DPS and MEI's professional services as the industry's most complete tablet-publishing package."
