ON DEMAND 2004 AIIM 2004 Digital Marketing Symposium 2004 NEW YORK--Feb. 2, 2004-- Advanstar Communications, Inc. today announced additional keynote speakers for the upcoming ON DEMAND 2004 Conference & Exposition, the digital printing & automated production event taking place March 8-10. ON DEMAND 2004, co-produced by CAP Ventures, is co-located with AIIM 2004 and The Digital Marketing Symposium at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. Keynote speakers include industry-leading experts from CAP Ventures, Hewlett-Packard Company, IKON Office Solutions, the Rochester Institute of Technology, and Xerox Corporation. Keynote speakers will deliver keen insight and unbiased perspectives to an audience of vendors, end users, and industry analysts. From business communications to workflow processes, attendees will have a better understanding of the latest trends, issues, and standards affecting today's digital printing and automated production industry. In addition to previously announced presentations by Xerox CEO, Anne Mulcahy; management guru, Tom Peters; and author, Seth Godin, ON DEMAND keynotes will include: Monday, March 8, 2004 Charles A. Pesko Jr., managing director, CAP Ventures, Inc., will discuss "Strategies for Growth in the Emerging Business Communications Marketplace" at 9:00 a.m. In his Annual State of the Industry address, Mr. Pesko will focus on business models for success in a radically new industry landscape. Tuesday, March 9, 2004 A keynote panel discussion entitled, "The Office of the Future: Redefining Document Processes," will be held at 10:30 a.m. The discussion will highlight innovative new technologies and services that are redefining how office workers communicate and share knowledge. Panelists include Ursula Burns from Xerox Corporation, Cathy Lewis from IKON Office Solutions, and George Mulhern from Hewlett-Packard Company. Immediately following, Charlie Corr, group director of CAP Ventures, Inc. will moderate a panel discussion on "Workflow Solutions: Key Enablers for Growth" at 11:30 a.m. In this session, Guy Gecht of Electronics for Imaging, Mike Kucharski of Xerox Corporation, Bill McGlynn of Hewlett-Packard Company, and V. "Puru" Purushotham of NexPress Solutions LLC will address topics such as achieving "Super-Efficiency," products and solutions in this market, and return-on-investment by implementing "Super-Efficiencies." Wednesday, March 10, 2004 Frank Romano, Fawcett Chair from the Rochester Institute of Technology, will moderate a panel entitled, "The Universal Copier/Printer (UCP) - The Next 'Big Thing'," at 10:30 a.m. Focusing on new light production devices and how it can apply to businesses. Panelists include Kevin Kern from Konica Minolta, and Mark Matthews from Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. The discussion will provide insight into the UCP and discuss such topics as market opportunities for UCPs, cost, and benefits of this technology.
