Rolling Meadows, IL — Komori Corporation announced today that normal production has resumed in its Tsukuba and Yamagata factories effective March 22, 2011. While some delays have occurred in the procurement of parts and materials needed for press production due to traffic restrictions and electrical power outages, the situation continues to improve and full resolution is expected in the next several days.
 
Although scheduled power outages have been implemented, adjustments have been made in the manufacturing schedule to ensure production is not halted. With the improvement in fuel supplies, logistics are improving and are expected to be back at normal levels by March 28, 2011.
 
Minor delays in press shipments are expected through mid-April 2011, however Komori is working tirelessly to ensure delays are as short as possible. “We are very pleased at the news coming from our factories in Japan. As stated, we are working to ensure any delays are minor.  We apologize for any inconvenience experienced by our customers due to the crisis in Japan,” says Kosh Miyao, President and COO of Komori America Corporation. “I also want to express my appreciation and gratitude for the many kind thoughts and wishes we have received from our customers and the printing community. The support has been overwhelming and is much appreciated.”
