Press release from the issuing company

Fairfax, Virginia – Take SGIA's 2011 Financial Outlook and Business Growth Plans Survey to discover how each sector of the specialty imaging industry plans to position their business for success in the coming year.

The survey - open now through April 8 - asks graphic imagers, garment decorators and industrial imagers in the US and Canada about their outlook on the future of the industry, equipment purchase plans, sales ratios and more. Once the survey is complete, participants will receive a full report, absolutely free.

Last year's Financial Outlook and Business Growth Plans Survey indicated that almost 56 percent of graphic imagers in the US thought that durability is very influential when purchasing equipment, and only 18.1 percent believed that the brand name is important. More than half of garment decorators (60.6 percent) and 35.5 percent of industrial imagers believed that quality control is very influential when purchasing.

The 2010 survey also revealed that 70 percent of graphic imagers and 67.5 percent of garment decorators in the US planned to achieve positive sales growth by expanding existing markets, while 59.3 percent of industrial imagers planned to grow by developing new markets.
