Land O'Lakes, FL – Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today named the recipients of its annual 2011 awards. The two annual Xplor Awards recognize the Innovator and Technology Application of the Year and will be presented at Xplor's award ceremony and luncheon on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 12:30 PM EST the Xplor Conference and Vendor Forum in St. Pete Beach, Florida.

Innovator of the Year Award: each year, Xplor International recognizes an individual, company or an organization that has conceived and developed an original concept leading to a significant advancement in the industry. The "Innovator" has advanced a new program, product or technology that notably enhances the capabilities of electronic document systems. This year, the award is being presented to HP Extream and their Interactive Document Technology software solution that has revolutionized corporate communications by providing innovative ways to manage the points of contacts between clients and companies.

Two honorable mentions for the Innovator of the Year Award category will also be given. The first to Crawford Technologies for their PRO Production Manager, an end-to-end document workflow automation, management and reporting application that works within any transactional or print-on-demand document production environment. The second honorable mention will be presented to Print Technologies for their VIP3000 envelope feeder. The unique design of the VIP3000 provides a cost effective and easily integrated solution for mail providers and in-plants for small to medium envelope runs.

Technology Application Award: Xplor also recognizes organizations for their imaginative application of current technology that establishes an industry's direction. This year, Xplor recognizes Merrill Corporation and InfoPrint Solutions as the winner of the 2011 Technology Application Award for their integrated customer communications and fulfillment, distribution and reporting system. The unique system increased operational efficiency, reduced operational costs by 15-40% and saved Merrill's clients a significant amount.

In addition to Merrill Corporation and InfoPrint Solutions, an honorable mention in this category will be given to Bassett Direct for their AirMiles Collector Update Application and CNNewsprint for their versioned and targeted newsprint application.
