EskoArtwork to show why software is king at Sign & Digital UK 2011

Press release from the issuing company

Ghent, Belgium – EskoArtwork is to demonstrate how its digital finishing solutions maximize press productivity and increase return on investment at Sign and Digital UK 2011.

Next to the Kongsberg i-XP24 digital finishing table, EskoArtwork will show its extensive range of integrated software solutions for the sign and display market. The event is being staged at the Birmingham NEC between April 12 –14. EskoArtwork can be found at stand F20.

“Software is king,” states Paul Bates, EskoArtwork’s Regional Business Manager UK & Eire. “There’s no point investing in a highly productive digital press if you don’t have the right software in place to keep it running. Waiting for jobs to be set up eats into capacity, productivity and - in the end, profitability.”

Invest to save

At the show, EskoArtwork will reveal to visitors the potential savings that can be realised using i-cut Suite. This newly expanded collection of pre-production software is targeted at users of large format digital printers and/or digital finishing systems. i-cut Suite is built on the company’s extensive experience with advanced pre-production and workflow solutions in packaging and commercial printing. Its different modules provide a rich toolkit to deliver sign and display products with optimal efficiency and productivity.

Extend connectivity

Smoother production is delivered by ArtiosCAD 7.6, the latest version of the world’s most popular structural design software for all corrugated, folding cartons and POP displays. It features extended connectivity to other applications and import file formats, new reference POP display standards, automatic registration between graphics and structure, and improved 3D rendering. A key benefit is its complete 3D integration, enabling quick prototyping of designs and presentations while eliminating communication errors and reducing design review cycles.

With Automation Engine 10 EskoArtwork will show how operations can improve automation of repetitive tasks and reduce human interaction in the prepress production process, avoiding unnecessary mistakes and saving considerable time and money. Meanwhile the integrated solution for PDF creation and production, Odystar, will demonstrate its range of prepress tools, from preflight, certification and automated document correction, through to advanced trapping, imposition, proofing, printing and screening to plate.

Fast, flexible and reliable digital finishing

The Kongsberg i-XP 24, the world’s fastest digital cutter, delivers speedy throughput and is designed to operate continuously in a 24/7 production environment. As the best-selling Kongsberg system among sign and display companies, it offers a comprehensive digital finishing solution for the widest range of materials, providing automation, high productivity and outstanding precision. It is the workhorse of the Kongsberg series and designed specifically for POP and in-store displays, as well as high-volume signage. The Kongsberg i-XP24 comes with the i-cut Vision Pro control system for accurate die-less cutting and perfect registration.

“Our digital finishing solutions are proving very popular, especially in the UK market,” adds Bates. “Companies are realising the huge potential simple software enhancements can make to their day-to-day operations. And adding value with products like i-cut Suite enables them to improve their service offering and strengthen relationships with clients.”
