Valhalla, N.Y. – During the 2011 America East Technology and Operations Conference, the Graphic Systems Division of FUJIFILM North America Corporation will come together with PuzzleFlowTM to create and present automated and efficient workflow solutions specifically designed for today's newspaper publishing environment.

Designed to cover all aspects of newspaper production, the PuzzleFlow solutions – including WebPairer, Automator and InkSaver – help automate productions processes, while also ensuring that prepress systems are operating and maximum efficiency.

PuzzleFlow's WebPairer is an automated workflow management software that simplifies complex tasks. The solution consists of a native PDF processing engine that works with virtually any file format to produce CTP-ready plate files for in-house or remote production. It also automatically delivers processed pages in other required formats anywhere they are needed.

PuzzleFlow Automator removes the prepress tasks normally required of a production staff, including processing, optimization, preflighting and correction and delivery of pages, and automates them, allowing newspapers to maintain a consistent and reliable workflow system. PuzzleFlow Automator will optimize incoming documents, auto-correct them for prepress issues, notify operators of any problems, autoresize ads and pages, and automate the imaging, delivery, archiving and purging of files.

Fujifilm will also showcase PuzzleFlow's InkSaver, a program that helps increase efficiencies and cuts costs in the pressroom.  Capable of working with existing workflow solutions, PuzzleFlow InkSaver goes beyond cost savings in CMY ink or toner. The solution also provides a more stable gray axis, meaning better press stability, superior color representation, easier press control and reduced makeready time. With the added ink savings, users will realize faster ink drying time and improved run performance, printing speed and faster finishing.
