Xitron adds G7 certified expert to software support organization

Ann Arbor, Michigan – Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of prepress workflow and pressroom software announces that Peter Furnee has joined Xitron’s technical support staff as a Senior Support Specialist.

A well known consultant and trainer in the graphic arts industry, Peter’s experience includes extensive production management and technical support roles for companies such as G. E. Richards and Presstek. Peter also previously owned and operated Stochast, a national consulting and advisory firm that provided workflow and color accuracy solutions to printing companies across the country.

Peter will support Xitron’s complete line of products, including:

- Navigator Harlequin RIP
- Xenith Sierra Adobe PDF Print Engine workflow
- KeySetter ink key presetting system
- Xitron proofing systems for Epson and Canon printers

“Xitron is delighted to have Peter join our organization,” stated Mark Eisenschenk, Xitron's President and Chief Executive Officer. “Peter’s expertise and industry experience will allow Xitron to provide an even greater level of technical support to our customers.”

As a G7 Certified Expert, Peter has worked with many printers to increase profit margins through cost savings and make-ready improvements. Among other things, Peter advised the U.S. Government Printing Office (USGPO) on the development of and compliance to 2009 Level 2 Proofing and Printing Specifications through the transition from analog to digital processes.

Xitron RIPs and workflow solutions drive more than 250 different output devices ranging from black and white and color proofers to film imagesetters and the latest in CtP and direct-to-press systems. With shipments of more than 20,000 RIPs, Xitron is the largest independent provider of RIPs in the market.
