OneVision introduces Amendo Perfect Skin

Press release from the issuing company

Regensburg, Germany – OneVision, a global provider of prepress and premedia software solutions to the printing and publishing industries, has announced the availability of new features for its innovative image enhancement solution, Amendo.

The new software version comes with an improved user interface, offers new options for the handling of file extensions, and supports additional file formats such as PNG or RAW.

One new feature in particular deserves special attention: with this new version of Amendo, OneVision is introducing Amendo Perfect Skin. This unique feature works on a sophisticated methodology: a brand-new face detection techniques is used which reliably recognizes faces, analyzes their skin tones and executes any required corrections in order to achieve the "Perfect Skin" – all while preserving the characteristics of the different complexions. As a result, the skin tones look very natural and realistic, and the quality of the overall picture is greatly enhanced.

Furthermore, the new version offers:

- Minimum / Maximum Dot Value: This feature now has the option to apply the minimum dot settings to the border area only, thus helping to preserve as much detail as possible in the central part of the image.

- Paper Simulation: An industry's first, Amendo users have now the possibility to view CMYK and greyscale images with a paper simulation.

- Improvements for Highlight and Shadow Correction: The highlight and shadow features have been revised and now only effect the quarter and three-quarter tone areas respectively.
