Xerox Docuprint CF Users Choose Roll Systems Pre/Post Processing

Press release from the issuing company

Burlington, MA (January 14, 2004) - Roll Systems pre- and post-processing systems for high-speed digital printers have been installed recently at a pair of customer locations on Xerox DocuPrint CF continuous printing systems. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas, in Little Rock, has installed two Roll Systems Roll-to-Fold Systems on their DocuPrint 700 CFD duplex printing system. Xerox Business Services has installed three Roll-to-Roll Systems on DocuPrint 500 CF printers in their print center at RIA (a business unit of the Thomson Corporation, provider of integrated information solutions) in Carrollton, Texas. The Roll-to-Roll System, as installed at XBS / RIA, features recent enhancements to allow the operator to switch between applications with virtually no adjustments, to provide more consistent rewinding tension for high quality rolls, and to simplify thread-up. Roll-to-Roll permits unattended printing for hours, and brings unwinding benefits to the mailroom, for problem-free feeding of inserters or other finishing equipment. The Roll-to-Fold System, as installed at Blue Cross, presents shingled fanfold output onto a high-capacity conveyor, and makes the output immediately available. The system features Roll's patented quick-change unwinder, whose shaftless self-centering design allows one person to quickly load rolls, minimizing printer downtime. An AutoLoad tilt table may be added to the Roll-to-Fold, to generate large fanfold stacks of up to 10,000 forms and provide an easy, efficient way to process continuous output for mailroom operations. Roll Systems is the world's largest manufacturer of automated paper handling, monitoring, converting, and finishing equipment for high-speed electronic and digital printing. Its products are sold and serviced in over 50 countries.
