NEW YORK, Jan. 14 -- Oce, a leading provider of document management technology and outsourcing services, today announced the appointments of James M. Guynn and John Desena as Regional Vice Presidents, Operations for the Oce Business Services unit. Mr. Desena will be responsible for operations in the Western region and Mr. Guynn for the Eastern region. The two served as regional directors of operations for Oce Business Services prior to their current appointments and both have over fifteen years of operations and management experience with the company. Mr. Guynn and Mr. Desena will report directly to Oce Business Services Chief Operating Officer Walter Baransky. "In their posts as operations directors, Jim and John have demonstrated the industry experience, document technology knowledge, and passion for operational excellence that help our clients improve their business," said Mr. Baransky. "With their appointments, we are strengthening our operations infrastructure to continue to exceed client expectations and provide increased support for our employees in the field. From 2002 to his current appointment, Mr. Guynn served as director of national operations for Oce Business Services during which time he led the implementation of a $100 million outsourcing contract, the largest in company history. He served as director of operations, Mid-Atlantic region, from 1993 to 2002, presiding over a management team responsible for more than 100 client sites and 700 employees. Mr. Guynn was office services manager for Washington, DC law firm Arnold & Porter from 1990 to 1993. He served his first tenure with Oce Business Services, formerly known as Archer Management Services, as director of ground operations between 1986 and 1990. Mr. Desena is a 19-year veteran of the company, most recently serving as director of operations, Western region. Mr. Desena has held this position since January 1999, during which time he has led operations for a region that has grown from five client accounts to over 100. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Desena served as director of operations, Northeast region. He owned J&N Delivery Services, Inc. from 1988 to 1993 after his first tenure with Archer between 1978 and 1987.
